All Board Members contribute their time on a voluntary basis. The Board of Members is responsible for defining the organisation's constitution and approving strategic plans. It is also responsible for the appointment and performance of the Board of Directors.

Except for the Managing and any Executive Directors, all Directors contribute their time on a voluntary basis. The Board of Directors is responsible for proposing and implementing the organisation's strategic plans. It is also responsible for legal compliance and the operational success of FoodBank South Africa.
